The Federal Marriage Amendment
What is this law doing to people? No offense to any Christians honestly, but you people think you rule the world, why do you do that. Oh no they're going to destroy family values.... how exactly are they going to do that? People say that there won't be any children if we allow homosexuals to be married.... no there won't, but people act as if the amount of children in the world are going to drop drastically. Most of the gays aren't going to have kids anyway, so what's the point?? This country is supposed to be about love, peace, freedom, and all the other things we've been taught since we've been born. "We're lucky to live in such a country where we have so many rights." I hear it all the time. Then why not give people the right to be happy. I'm not gay, but if I were, I would want the right to be married to the person I love. We're supposed to live in a country that is against discrimination, and until like 35-40 years ago we were hateful towards a race that is not different to us at all. Gays and Lesbians are just the new black people, (again no offense to anyone I’m just stating an example). Back in the day blacks were beaten, pushed down, even killed for being born black. Why? Because they're different, but they're not even different. They are just like us. Open them up you'll find everything that is inside them is inside us. Hell, even women were pushed down, they were supposed to be in the kitchen only. Why? Why are we such an ignorant country, determined to be stuck in views that are lost.
This entire situation is caused by something that is supposed to be protected from us. Religion is getting involved into politics. The main reason people are against the homosexual marriages are because they are viewed as wrong in religious eyes. Religion is a belief, not a law, it is not set in stone, not everyone believes in the same religion. People of course believe their religion is correct because they've been taught that it is. Christians are the worst ones, they are the most hypocritical of everything.
