That subject line sounds like some sort of strange romance. First, we made significant progress on another couple cupboards in the kitchen today. Our process is to pull everything out item-by-item and consider whether it belongs to either of us, or if we think it's worth keeping around. Highlights of tonight's installment include:
- 3 cans of Clabber Girl baking powder, two of which were dated in the mid-90's
- All sorts of bottles with no more than a tablespoon or two of their original contents, ranging from appletini mix to soy sauce
- An entirely empty plastic jar labeled "pickling spices"
Now sing with me, number 1985 in your hymnals... "These are the things I can do without, c'mon!"
And speaking of tears and fears, let's consider this picture from the New York Times:
This accompanied an article discussing interfaith efforts to give their Detroit congregations hope by praying en masse for a government bailout of the automotive industry.
Observe: There are 3 SUV's. In. That church.
Thoughts? From those with religious inclination and those without?
