You know you've been primarily commuting by bicycle when...

My apartment complex has a gate that is left open during the typical rush hour time. If you come in after that time, you either use a gate opener (like a garage door opener), or a code at the pedestrian gate or main gate. But I know I've been working too late and primarily commuting by bicycle when, for the umpteenth time, I wistfully think, "Man, I really wish I had a gate opener attached to my handlebars." It'd be handy, and good for a giggle to watch other people in cars noticing me opening the gate from my bike.

Unfortunately, getting one is a $50 deposit, and I'd feel nervous having it just sit out on my bike. But still.
