Seriously, every time I post a comment I know that people can click my name and read everything I've felt like posting, ever. That's a big risk, because we all say stupid things. We all over-generalize or say pretentious uneducated things about religion or the government or society. It happens. It's human fallibility. And I accept the fact that I've said some stupid things before, in this very journal. That's why I'm not afraid to post, that's why I'm not afraid to comment under this very name.
It's a big risk to take, every time you put yourself out there you're vulnerable to attack and criticism. And what I require in return for this risk that I take is that you have the same accountability. If you don't do this, I don't respect you. No matter how intelligent or offensive or thought-provoking or whatever your comment may be, I just can't get past the fact that you're a big pussy.
