last night was the Doves concert. it was everything i expected it to be. Andrea and Amanda ended up cancelling, so we had to extra tickets. so matt and I went through all of our phone books, and drove all around deer park trying to find 2 people that wanted to go with us. we stopped by lina's house and almost convinced her, but she had homework. then 5 minutes before we were about to give up and just go downtown, Nick and Ethan Hamala called, and said they could go. Ive always hated ethan, but he was fun. his best quote: "How do you like them apples and smoke em'"
anyways, the concert was cool. the opening band sounded like circa-1989 flaming lips. they werent too great.
but the doves were like a musical trainspotting. it's what i imagine a verve concert being like. New York, and this last techno instrumental song were my favorites. catch the sun was all guitar distioned up, which was nice. has anyone noticed how british musicians incorporate the word "fuck" into every sentence and do it so nonchalantly, yet make it sound so cool.
nice night.
well i woke up this morning and thought about what classes i have today.
video tech-we do the same thing everyday. i wont miss anything
germanIII-we are watching lord of the rings in german. i wont miss anything
speech-the easiest class ive taken since 9th grade integrated physic/chemistry. i wont miss anything.
so i decided to sleep in and not go to school today. this is relaxing.
