Nevermind the subject...I just had the little jingle stuck in my head for some odd reason.
As you've probably read in one of my past journal entries, I have a freelance job. I didn't realize I hadn't gone into much detail about it until now. I'm working for a marketing research company, and it's actually more on a per diem basis. I'm a survey checker. I review surveys to insure that the text makes sense and that there are no typos or obvious mistakes. For web surveys, I check to make sure that the screener terminates participants correctly and that all questions skip to the correct questions based on the answers provided. It's easy work, I have no complaints about that except for the fact that I'd like to do it more if possible. Each survey takes around two hours to check, and I make $25 an hour. I also do little odd jobs for them every now and then. Like last week, I went to their office in Long Beach to code and package some products to ship out to participants of their surveys. I go in again on Tuesday to finish the job.
I also finally have my resumé up on monster.com, but it still needs a little tweaking here and there. It's a step forward though, so that's good. I'm actually planning on getting a normal job, something along the lines of during the weekday 9-5 type of thing. And on the weekends, I'd actually like to serve at a restaurant. That probably sounds odd for someone with a college degree, but I actually do miss it. If anything, it was a good workout and the money was great. And with only the weekend, it shouldn't be that bad. Plus it'll be a few hundred dollars extra a week (at least I'm hoping). I don't think I'd want to go back to Disney to do it though. Plus, they wouldn't be very flexible with my schedule during the peak season. Although now I'm considering it for the perks. I'm really going to miss doing Candlelight and Flashback and it's only during the weekend. I can probably work something out with my schedule during the peak season. Hmm...it's something to think about. But if not, I'm thinking about the restaurants in my area...perhaps T.G.I.Fridays, Claim Jumper, Maggiano's, etc. That might work out better for me. I hated the commute to Anaheim...but gah...it shouldn't be bad during the weekends. Hmm...
I'd like to start saving up money for the future. I'd like to get my convertible back...well not my old one, that's probably a huge block of metal right now, but another one. I still remember how it felt driving up and down PCH with the top down. I really miss that. And then saving money in general when I finally move out, and also for 401Ks, retirement all that fun stuff. When I move out, I'd actually like to get a residential house. I don't think I could do an apartment or a condo..just because I like to make a lot of noise! XD Well...with my piano and entertainment system anyways. Again, that's probably way down in the future, but it's something that I should start planning for. I'm also planning on going to Japan next year. The fact that I'm going is set in stone, just not the exact time. I'm so excited about that!
I've also gone back to going to the gym regularly. I've been going two days a week just to get my body used to it again. The few times I've gone prior resulted in me being sore for a whole week....so I definitely need to take baby steps. Tomorrow, I start going again 4 days a week. I'll also be taking the hip-hop classes on Mondays again. I soooooo missed those. It's gonna be kinda weird though because the 24 Hour Fitness club I'm going to only has a 2 hour parking permit. It's not enough time for me to do my weight training and take the class, so I'll probably drive down to the one closer to my house for weight training. That'll be kinda weird. I dunno...I'll see how things go. Maybe the parking attendent goes away after 9pm.
Oh well, that's an update on the life of Jonny. I'll post another entry if anything else exciting happens.
