Waiting for the Follow-Thru

Disclaimer: This is originally from my MySpace blog. So there are a few parts that may seem kinda...eh? I'm far too tired right now to reread to take some stuff out. So this disclaimer will just have to work.

Again, I find myself in a position where I can't sleep.  Perhaps I'm not
trying hard enough.  Although my body's telling me I'm tired, all I did was play
with my mobile that hangs over my bed.  I'm not sure what happened after that,
but I eventually migrated back over to the computer and I'm here yet once more.
I figure I might as well write something.

I guess first would be an apology.  Whether or not you may have expected some
comments from me or whatnot, I actually wasn't on the computer much today.
Yeah, I'm shocked too!  The whole day seemed like a complete blur, and it went
entirely too fast.

Second...what happened yesterday.  I meant to write an entry, but I guess I
got distracted by something shiny.  Yesterday, Wednesday actually, I woke up at
the lovely crack of noonish, apparently answered my cell phone 30 minutes from
actually waking up, only to say "Hello" to my best friend, Andrea, and promptly
hanging up.  Neither of which I have any recollection of!  We had plans to go to
Ikea for lunch...those meatballs are awesome!  So I kill a bit of time while
waiting her to get ready, eventually put some crap in my hair, and head off to
Ikea.

I'm surprised I got there first.  Usually I'm the late one.  But I take the
opportunity to look around a bit.  For those of you that don't know...that's
probably not a good thing.  Ikea is one of my weaknesses as I love buying
anything and everything that I think would be a great addition for my room.
Combined with me not working right now and having less than a hundred bucks in
my checking account...very very bad.  And it gets worse...

When Andrea arrives, we go get our Manager's Specials and pop a squat near
the big-screen TV that's showing Spongebob.  Score!  I love Spongebob...but
since I don't really watch TV, I never get the chance to watch it.  On a slight
tangent, I don't watch TV yet I want TiVo.  Anyways...we eat...talk...and all
that jazz, then head off downstairs for some browsing and shopping.  I didn't
really have any intentions of coming out of the store with any bags...but there
were a few things on my buy list that I was planning on getting sometime in the
future.  But I impulsively bought a couple things to shorten that list anyways.
I got this paper lamp light thingy.  It's like 5 boxes connected to one cord
that hangs from the ceiling.  I'm not sure if that's a good enough description,
but I know what I'm talking about.  And I got a couple of these neat lamps.
They're white on the outside, but red in the inside.  When you turn it on, it
glows red/pink.  They're really neat.  I dig 'em.

We leave and crash at my place.  Initial plan was to crash cars and make big
explosions with Burnout 3, but we ended up watching Autin Powers.  Works for
me!  I hadn't seen that movie in the longest time.  Probably since I bought it
when I got my first DVD player back in the day.  So while we're watching, I'm
kinda tinkering with the items I bought, only to realize that I got the wrong
size light bulbs for the red/pink lamps.  "Core Blimey!" I say to myself.

When Andrea leaves, I head off back to Ikea to get the right light bulbs.  I
end up leaving with my light bulbs and a mobile that I spoke of previously in
this entry.  I was just walking to the cash registers when it caught my eye,
with a huge SALE sign right next to it.  I learned later today that it wasn't on
sale...at least it was the same price as in the Ikea Catalog.  Batages.  I'm not
even sure if I wanted it.  I just bought it anyways.  Gah I'm horrible.

Then back to home to kill some more time.  I was supposed to help my cousin
move a few things, so I just idled around the computer while waiting for him to
call.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm.  He calls me at 9:30pm saying that
he's in Vegas.  And I'm like...wtf?  Needless to say, but I will not be helping
him move his crap when he comes back into town.  I'll most likely be
busy...like...sitting on the computer or something.  I can't even remember the
rest of the night after that.

Woo hoo!  And that brings us today.  The reason why I had to explain what
happened yesterday--other than the other reason...I mean, I could have made two
entries...but nah...--is that it affected my day today.  I wake up again to my
phone ringing.  And this time I was completely coherent.  It was my mother
telling me that she cooked spaghetti.  Whoop-dee-doo! (twirls finger in the
hair)  So I go eat because I'm hungry, and start setting up all the stuff I
bought yesterday.  While doing this I have an Austin Power's Maraton and pop in
the second and third one.  After yesterday, I felt the need to watch the rest of
the trilogy because I forgot what happened.  And that actually took up my whole
day...I'm not sure how, but it did.
