A Loss and a Gain
In about 7 hours it will be a year since I lost one of the most important people in my life, my mom's mother. She made it just past her 94th birthday and we couldn't have asked for a better way for her to leave the world: in bed, at peace, with my mom and myself by her side. I miss her a lot but I have a lot of great memories.

Incidentally, around this same time last year, I also gained someone who has become one of the most important people in my life. Without his support at that whole week that everything happened, I don't know what I would have done. And since then we've both been through a lot... There's been a lot of good times. I've learned a lot from him and I hope he has from me as well. Thank you Joey for being what a real friend should be. No matter what happens you'll always hold a special place in my heart. I mean that.
