Today I went to City Park with my cousins and played around. It was overcast most of the day, so my sunburn wasn't irritated, so that's a good thing. It started to blister *eeks!* I put alot of Aloe Vera and Solarcaine on it, and I am hoping for a fast recovery so I can start wearing socks again; I fear getting a foot fungus without that secure ( Read more... )

1. A resemblance to Rudolph...Randolf? What is it, really? Rudolf might be fitting if you get the sunburned red nose like I often get. Argh, the curse of being a red-head! But hey, summer scent of sunscreen is awesome, reminds me of freedom from school.
2. Yeah, the sunburned feet is a direct consequence of the wearing of Flojos flip-flops. I've never worn them before except in the showers in the dorms (because foot fungus is a regularity there...something to look forward to). I have this nasty burn that goes right around where the bands of the toe-holding-foot-grapple-devices are. It looks pretty rad. But yeah, I agree. I used to hate the flip-flop culture thing, but it's growing on me; very comfy!
3. Yeah it was one of those kids trains. The first time around I went in the "coal cabs" with the older little kids (like 6 and 7), and then the next time I went in the caged-in caboose with the 2 and 3 year olds, all hunched over like a giant. It was fun, I felt young again! *sigh* Nostalgia.
4. Some of the young kids at the park were feeding the ducks directly from their hands. I wasn't that brave, so I just threw it to them. But they weren't bitten, despite what their mother thought was gonna go down. I'll check into that song "Josie's House" by Jupiter Sunrise. I don't like being overly pessimistic.
5. I agree!
6. Snooker is kinda like pool, but the balls are set up in the beginning differently and you actually have different point values and stuff. It's not super complicated, but it makes for a nice change after whomping on everyone in regular billiards.
7. Yeah I hate those sorenesses that never go away! And I hate carrying my own luggage, too. No fun at all. But I lvoe New York. Just not its cockroaches.
