I've decided to formalize my work hours for poker, and for the time being (while at home in south florida) my weekday hours will be from midnight to 4am. During the days I plan to, amongst other pursuits, read a lot. So I'd like to ask everyone, what should I read? I feel like right now I'm primarily looking for nonfiction and classic works of literature, but I'm open to other stuff (I may only be interested in these as I've exhausted the supply of fiction from authors that I already know I enjoy). I think I'm going to start off reading Mandelbrot's The (Mis)Behavior of Markets: A Fractal View of Risk, Ruin and Reward. I'm also planning on reading John Keynes' The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money, and seeing where in economics I feel like proceeding from there.
I'd like to expand the breadth of my familiarity with... well with everything, so I'd especially appreciate suggestions of significant works in areas with which I likely have little or no experience.
In other news I've begun running again though I'm pitifully out of shape. I'm also trying to resume bowling on a regular basis - it's so nice to finally get to use my own ball again. For this trip home I'm averaging a 163.4 :)
