week 2-1
starting the "new semester" here at Tarleton. it's nice to have that solid weekend of no worries. carefree meaning a chance to go back to austin. though, i didn't plan too much, since it would be a busy weekend for FiFi. but still good nonetheless.
so, here's the low down since my last update. studying, tests, studying, tests, and black and red pee. we did multiple labs where we would inspect the urine with a microscope. wow! lots of stuff in that there piss piss! after learning a lot about the kidneys and what urine can entail, there is a bit in me that screams "be like House." nephrologist, MD. but seeing how i'll be working with blood more, it'll probably be urine inspector, MT.
keeping that in mind, i wonder what it would be like to work in for the NFL commision that takes all the drug screenings for the pro athletes. imagine all that controversy with the HGH and steroid use. i bet there is some underhanded sneakiness going on involving the lab. not that i'm claiming facts, just that some moneys are missing from team budget.
i'm sad that the Pats lost since i am a fan of Family Guy. so i rooted just a bit as a way of rooting for Family Guy. :D
now off of that, i had written some stuff about Heath Ledger's death. very sad. i was looking forward to The Dark Knight, but it will definitely suffer quality without him. i am also hoping to get the "why so serious?" poster, but having it in my room would definitely freak me out now. rest in peace, you will be missed dearly.
jumping back to the weekend, i got to eat Buca di Beppo. the pizzas are delicious and the chunks of melted cheese remind me of the time when i used to microwave cheese. just like nachos! while gorging that pizza down, i also had the pasta and chicken masala. nummy as well. :3 *nom nom nom* and finally tried a Peach Bellini. the champagne was crisp and definitely kept the peach taste. i may have one again for next new year's.
also had dim sum.. it's been a long time since i've had any. i didn't even eat any when i was in Taiwan. so you can imagine how much we eat this time. good ol' T&S.
