I got around to watching the recent episodes of some of the summer dramas I'm keeping up with. Ie Uru Onna is still funny and entertaining. A romance angle started being explored in episode 4. I'mm not sure if I'm feeling it but I will wait and see where it going. ON is getting very interesting. Episode 5 looks to be very exciting and I can't wait to watch it. But Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto's fourth episode was extremely frustrating to watch. It really had me groaning and I considered dropping it. It was slow and contained a lot of indecision from Misaki. I really hated having to watch a whole episode which was basically her trying to say one thing to Chiaki. It drove me nutty I tell you. Only the last minute saved it from being dropped because of Kento. Always messing with my feels! Ugh! XD
I also started some other dramas. I watched the first episode of HOPE and I absolutely love it. It was the special one I was seeking and I'm definitely hooked. I'm a sucker for underdogs and their journeys and HOPE already had me tearing up. I also started Juken no Cinderella which is another underdog story. I enjoyed it so much that I even watched the third episode raw. I like HOPE more but this is good too. It has some comedy which HOPE doesn't really have. Though from the premise, it may have a sad ending. My heart is not ready! I checked out the first episode of Soshite, Dare mo Inaku Natta and well, I was expecting to love this because the plot was right up my alley. But I find it so-so. It is mysterious and leaves the viewer with lots of questions and it hints at a complicated scheme. But I guess it's the execution I'm not loving. I find the main character a bit too careless. He just says too much to the people around him and he should've started witholding information from the moment his identity was stolen. Since he's too "relaxed", the drama doesn't have the tense atmosphere I think it needs. Hopefully, this will improve. Anyway, I will write my thoughts in more detail after I watch 3-4 episodes of these dramas.
