(no subject)
So I was listening to Jesusland today (and watching the dvd portion) and Ben Folds talks about how most of the people who wear christian items probably wouldn't help him if he asked for help. I can sort of see where he's coming from...I know I'm not a perfect Christian and I challenge somebody to show me one but I think its almost as though its "cool" to be Christian or to be "Christian." I read in somebody's journal that she was put on Chapel probation...I think mandatory chapel is a ridiculous idea. A person should be at church because they feel they should be there...whether they feel a higher calling or just a moral calling...that is the reason they should be there. You can force people into a church but you cannot force them to sincerely worship.
I dunno...I just don't know where Christianity is going at this day and age...guess thats just how life goes...uncertainties and such...
On a more light-hearted note...Star Wars Episode III comes out in 13 days! YAY!!! Yoda with a lightsaber...does NOT get cooler than that...earlier this evening, amanda was watching tv in the living room and an episode 3 trailer came on the tv...garrison ran from the kitchen and jump on the couch...matt ran from our room and jumped on a couch and i ran out from behind matt and slid on the floor in front of the tv...was truly a sight to see
