They're sitting on the couch watching Say Yes to the Dress. Well, Kibum is watching the show anyway, when he’s not making sardonic quips about the flaws in each dress he sees. Minho is too busy following the subtitles and enjoying the melon slices he’s chosen as an afternoon snack to really give his own opinion.
“The mother of the bride in this one is being too critical,” Kibum comments.
“She’s being too critical?” Minho returns skeptically. “You’ve picked at every dress there’s been!”
Kibum adjusts his position so that his cheek is against Minho’s shoulder and snakes an arm around his boyfriend’s. “True, but a mother should be kind to her daughter.”
Minho takes a large bite of fruit as Kibum continues to talk.
“I feel like if my mom nagged me like that I’d just get married in secret so no one else would have to get involved.”
Minho says nothing, choosing instead to kiss Kibum’s head gingerly as he listens to him prattle on.
“We should do that,” Kibum suggests.
“Hmm?”
“Run away and get married.”
Minho shifts so that he is looking him dead in the eye. “I’m sorry,” he begins as he holds up one of the melon slices, “but I cantaloupe.”
The punch he receives to the shoulder is entirely worth it.
