I'm so pleased to be writing this, no one has any idea how long I was like, "they should be friends ; w ;" before they actually started interacting, and now there's enough for me to be writing a massive post about it. Jonghyunnie makes all kinds of dreams come true, right ♥

I think of him as a gentle, down-to-earth, and humble boy who receives a lot of strength from his passion and his relationships; the less-seen (or less-recognised, perhaps) side of him is happy, playful, and boisterous, mostly around friends, and likes to joke around. I think Kim Jonghyun is a little bit the opposite: his stage persona and the way he is in front of others is active, fun, and excitable, and it's harder for people to see his thoughtful, serious, and sincere side except through the way he expresses music or talks about his dreams and thoughts. I do think Lee Jonghyun is more private, and Kim Jonghyun, for a variety of reasons - his openness, his longer career as a Korean idol - is less so. But they're both very well-mannered, cheerful, and kind.

omg ia that translating 쟁이 into 'freak' is not quite right; I always thought of it as kind of like, "fanatic" without the connotations of being a fan if that makes sense? maybe like, "super enthusiast" or something LOL. I didn't know about the "old man who has worked for something for his whole life" connotation though!

Conscious effort to reign myself in: I really really love your posts, not just because they're thorough and cleanly organized, but because of the clarity and thoughtfulness and care that goes into everything you write. The last paragraph, and all the similarities/balances you've found between the two of them, like, idk ;~~~; I love KJH and the way you've mapped out this friendship makes me appreciate LJH so much too, as a person on his own and as a friend to KJH. 2jonghyun4ever \;~;/

He likes to lounge around in his underwear and sleeps in his underwear; he simultaneously likes Hello Kitty and Tekken, as if that's supposed to make sense. He can't eat a lot of foods, laughs really loudly, and apparently still lies around like this singing when he's ill. He loves taking selcas, used to be an ulzzang, and thinks he looks best when he's freshly out of a shower; he also likes using the word "peverted" (unsure if the point is to be hypocritical, or...).
And yes, he uses it to fans and to his members as well, l o l like Jungshin was describing how he'd interact with his future girlfriend and Jonghyun was like, "That's perverted!" Some other similarities I forgot to add earlier: Lee Jonghyun also doesn't like ball sports, and Minhyuk described him as the "lubricant oil" of the group, hehe. and um Lee Jonghyun brings the boys out? He got pretty much dogpiled by three male fans here, keke. Not sure which member of CNBlue actually has the most male fans though ~ oh and Lee Jonghyun is messy, omg, seriously it goes on forever, I had to stop!
They all like a lot of Japanese bands! I love that Minhyuk likes Base Ball Bear. But Lee Jonghyun's music taste is great; his love of Bump of Chicken is great and his number one idol, who he also never stops talking about, is Eric Clapton, which, just, yes ♥ And his dream is to be a composing singer, as in he composes all of the songs he sings himself. :')
I WILL JUST HOPE OUTRAGEOUSLY FOR A LOT OF THINGS BECAUSE EVERY HUNDREDTH WISH COMES TRUE APPARENTLY. LIKE THE TIME I WAS LIKE "HENRY SHOULD SING 'I'M YOURS'" AND HE DID IT LITERALLY THE NEXT DAY. #WILLNEVERSHUTUPABOUTTHATDAY
I'm really glad! Obviously I love going on and on about people's personalities (this explains why my Jonghyun+food post is taking forever because, sigh, compilations) and Lee Jonghyun/CNBlue deserves all the fans in the world, but I'm also just really happy to write these posts because I feel like all of these facts and things just exist in my head without my seeing any correlation or parallels up until I'm writing about it or explaining it, so it all becomes coherent for me at the same time, haha, it's mutually beneficial!

CNBlue has never been at an Idol Sports Day, which is really sad because I think they're decently athletic despite not being able to dance... okay, I will wish for this!! *^*
You owe me the kids post, you must!! ; n ; and I'll do the food post if you do the family post... cries tears it's so hard tracking things down based on vague recollections, at least you have bookmarks!
(idk if you watched the video but can I just cry about the compliment relay where Yonghwa, who isn't even sitting at the end, just turns to Jonghyun and says, "Jonghyun's really handsome" and stares at him okay I'm done)
