I’m very lucky to have lots of talented, wisdomous, writerly friends. Many of these good people share common interests, but don’t know each other...yet. Not all of them are on Live Journal. Some have accounts (or in the case of LJ users, additional accounts) on Twitter, Facebook, Blogspot etc.

With that in mind, I thought it might be fun to host ( Read more... )

I love how you're working to get us all more and more together. Let me just join in here.

I'm Ellen Roepert, though my name is not shown anywhere on my LJ, so most people only know Nathreee. I'm 28 and I'm working on becoming a writer. I have a manuscript that I'm revising called Destiny and I'm tentatively sending out queries to see what agents think. I have never been published so this is all rather new to me.

On my LJ profile there's a few links to posts that are either about me or my writing, I invite anyone to have a look. I try to keep my tag cloud clean and logical, so it's easy to browse my LJ. I don't have a website of my own yet, that's going to be a nice project for later. Recently I became a member of the Online Writing Workshop and I'm grateful for the commentary of my writing that I get there. I'm also on Facebook if you're into that sort of thing.

Fun details to know about me: I'm not actually a native English speaker. I'm from the Netherlands, but I've never let that stand in my way. I'm also an enthusiastic member of the Dutch Larp community and I have a warm place in my heart for games, especially ones that can be played cooperatively.

Joseph Conrad was not a native English speaker.
Approaching English from an outside perspective
can make it a far more effective tool than it would be
to someone who has only known it from the inside.
