After a somewhat depressing three hours in the dentist chair on Friday morning, I'm having an excellent weekend so far. On Friday afternoon, I treated myself to Darth Vader's voice on my TomTom GPS. It's worth driving past your turn just to hear him say, 'Do not disappoint me again'
Yesterday morning, I went to do a 'Meet the Author' talk at the WH Walters Library in Alpha, NJ. I've had my name on flyers outside a library before, but never on a proper sign. Definitely a 'Savor the Moment' moment. I met several young writers, one 14-yr-old lad had even written a complete novel. Definitely someone to keep an eye on!
In the afternoon, I moderated an NJAN panel/Q&A at Edison Library, NJ, with fellow
New Jersey Authors Network members, Hildy Silverman, Gary Frank, Jim 'JJ' Lair and Dan Wilensky. Great fun, as always.
This morning, I reached another milestone in my quest to get in shape (or at least into a somewhat less round shape). The Wii Fit managed not to sound too surprised when it informed me I've lost 25 pounds since the end of January. I'm now just 13 pounds from my ideal weight. All in all, a good couple of days.
How about you?
How's your weekend shaping up?
