Remember to hydrate. Water is good for the throat.

Thanks, Pat. I think folks felt glad they came - at least, nobody asked for a refund ;)

Hopefully the drive won't be too insane.

It was okay, though I'm no great fan of motorway driving.

I'm not either, and I don't even drive! But we have a feature on Long Island that, for a couple of generations, has been referred to as The Longest Parking Lot in the World. Its actual name is the Long Island Expressway. I remember riding with Nana when I was a child, going to her house in the Hamptons, and the traffic was stalled to such an extent, people had climbed on top of their cars to sun themselves (work on their tans, as it were)..

Great talk at vogelson library. I learned a lot about where to go from what I've got, and some good writing techniques I should be using to keep myself focused. I've never had any formal education in writing- I didn't go to college or anything like that. So it's important to me to learn where I can and your talk was very helpful.

I'm Laura Cushing, we talked some about my sci-fi in rough draft and such. I also added you on FB and Twitter, and will join the NJ author's network site. This is my public journal (which I need to post more in). I will also friend you from my private journal year_anda_day if you would like to read - that talks about my austism (aspergers/ HFA) and complex PTSD as well as other aspects of my life. The writer's group I do here on LJ is charloft. We have been providing a character development focused writing prompt a day for over three years now.

To give you an idea of how I write, here's two very tiny pieces - first is 20 words, second 100:

EstrangementHis mouth, once kissable ( ... )

It was nice to meet you yesterday - love your sense of humor. The Nuts & Bolts discussion and Q&A was interesting and informative. Good luck with Fur-face.

Thanks, Angela. Best of luck with your middle grade horror novel. I expect to be working on one of those my own self before year's end :)

Goodie! I'm hoping to start a new one before the year's out. I just need to get through my current WIP revisions. So many ideas, so little time!
