PANELS
I had a great time at the author panel/Q&A in Manalapan on Monday night. We had a pretty good turnout (about 25 people), which is not fantastic, but certainly not bad for a cold, November evening.
I knew I'd be nervous, so I spent a good hour that morning practising my moderator questions (and writerly answers) while parked outside McDonalds for my morning coffee, much to the amusement of a few passers-by. Still, I'm glad I did, because it gave me some much-needed confidence.
I'm looking forward to taking part in more
New Jersey Authors' Network events.
GSHW
My next outing is to this coming Saturday's
GSHW meeting, at
East Brunswick library, where Will Horner, editor of
Fantasist Enterprises, will talk about Two Major Pitfalls in the Revision Process.
Admission is free. If you'd like to come along, Will's talk starts at noon (the group business meeting starts an hour earlier at 11:00am).
Mix and Mingle Week is off to a great start. If you're interested in making some new writer friends,
feel free to drop by over there to share a few words about yourself and your writing so folks can find out more about you and your work.
