Reviews, interviews and taking the show on the road

I've had some lovely reviews of Fur-Face since it came out in June.  So far, none of them bad - unless you read the one from my old gran, sent by Ouija board to my Auntie Agatha, but nobody else saw that, and besides, gran spelled 'illiterate halfwit' wrong so it doesn't really count.

The latest review I've seen was by Catherine Schaff-Stump (aka Read more... )

fur-face, book signings, fur-face cd, gshw

I'm planning to go to Philcon (it's really close to where I live). I hope I'll see you there!

PhilCon is fun, Last year, I got to go on a mystery tour of the second floor with my friend Patty Cryan (aka p_m_cryan)
Are you coming to see Ellen Datlow at the next GSHW meet?

Is that part of Philcon? I've never been before so I have no set plans.

Lol, Ellen will be at the October GSHW meeting, the tour was just an accidental thing which happened when Patty and I went in search of water :)

[grin] The "mystery tour" was accidental, as Jon says. I have two innate talents which almost qualify as super-powers... the first is to always be underfoot exactly where someone needs to navigate in a room [no matter how large the room], and the second is to get lost in ridiculously well-laid out interior spaces.

However, I'm thinking of making the "Get Lost With Patty Cryan Tour" a regular fixture at conventions, similar to Dragon*Con's "Strolling With The Stars". [hee!]

I worry, however, that if I actually *set out* to get lost with people I won't be able to. Something like the centipede's dilemma.

Haha, I understand. Being lost is such a dominant trait in one half of my family that I don't even get frustrated anymore when I'm driving in circles and hopelessly lost.
