SL, maybe? ^_^ I suppose I otter poke my nose into FA more.. I just don't really feel welcome there, with each AUP revision becoming increasingly prissy, whilst remaining unconcerned about non-furry junk, like F*c*b**k style photos of their feet, cars, guns, knives, etc. Meanwhile, SL photography's outright banned, unless it's exclusively of something you've made yourself. Bleah. All the same, I've probably got a load of artwork to catch up with there, and probably a fair few artists I ought to discover..

SoFurry's much more reasonable, though checking the photography section showed it too had piles of junk, so I'm not entirely sure if it'd be worth posting some of my wildlife photography there - couldn't hurt to try.

I think what appeals most about LJ, for me, is that it can provide something to really read - Twitter's a handy addition to the mix, but the enforced brevity means there's nothing to really get into, as it were. It's possible to engage in a discussion there, but anything involving nuance or subtlety doesn't fit very easily. Still, it's a very good place to bump into entirely different people - I've encountered some very good wildlife photographers there, for instance.

Me behind.. Cube? Nono, Cube's a friend with many characters. ^_^

Poor readability of LJ - how so?

Steam I ought to fire up more often. ^_^ I just seem to spend most of my gaming time on the iPad these days, or some of the many (rather good!) Humble Bundle titles; and SL, of course, which probably wouldn't be as good on the iPad, even if it were somehow ported. *grin* (Mind, I'd still love to see some sort of iPad version of the viewer - it'd have to be simplified a fair bit, given mobile GPUs and OpenGL ES, but it feels like something that could be done)

I suppose FA has its limitations and problems, but it is still a central hub for things nowadays. I too am catching up on art...it takes a while, but wonderful things are discovered along the way :)

I only peruse SoFurry once in a while, only there for the stories as I don't consider it an art site. It is also a constant reminder I have been neglecting my stories for several years.

True, LJ does give a good place to read up on, whereas Twitter is too brief. As for wildlife photographers, I know two. Three, with you included.

My bad! Thought you were for a while.

The current friends' page layout makes for a lot of scrolling and clicking. I used to have a compact view that allowed me to read a lot of entries per page and keep them in a format that was pleasant to read as well. Since LJ changed ownership and the new layouts were forced as well as my being unwilling to continue paying LJ.

I only have an iPhone, and while the games are nice, the lack of tactile input limits my enjoying them.
