So, I've been expanding my mind much further than normal lately. Listening to tons of music. Pouring through albums. And, I've come to a conclusion: the age we currently live in is going to be a very influential to music. The last time a generation had such an impact it was definitely the 60s and parts of the 70s. The 80s were nothing special. The 90s had its moments.
2000, though. Wow. From Eminem, Kanye, Beyonce, and Lady Gaga to Fall Out Boy, MGMT, of Montreal. I'm glad to have lived in the time I did. Its an era people will look back at on and be impressed by the impact music had on us. Its truly been a great time for the arts to grow. An age of political and social unrest that makes the hippie movement seem like a small ordeal.
