1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Had a girlfriend, legally bought alcohol, toured.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
for the first time ever, YES.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not really. My cousin's girlfriend did.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.

5. What countries did you visit?
None

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Steady non-retail employment.

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
April 2nd, 2009. The day Sara and I started dating. :-D

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Being with Sara, and or touring.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Dragging my ass on making my album.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had some really nasty sinus infections. Other than that, no.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My new amp is pretty awesome, I'm not gonna lie. Some certain gifts that Sara hasn't received yet too...

12. Where did most of your money go?
Music Gear, Food, Beer.

13. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Seeing Sara! Turning 21, touring.

14. What song will always remind you of 2009?
The entirety of my band's album.

15. Compared to this time last year, are you:

16. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Spent a little more time working on music and playing shows.

Working at Rocky's.

It was spent at Hollywood video. Fuck you for asking.

yep!

That'd be zero.

21. What was your favorite TV program?
probably No Reservations. Best. Find. Ever.

22. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't think so. A couple of people have screwed me over, but it's water under the bridge.

23. What was the best book you read?
Assassination Vacation by Sarah Vowell was pretty great.

24. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Guided By Voices, Fugazi, Richard Hell and the Voidoids.

25. What did you want and get?
love, a band.

26. What did you want and not get?
more cash, steady employment opportunities.

27. What was your favorite film of this year?
I work at a video store. I haven't watched many movies from this year. So I guess uh... 500 Days Of Summer was pretty great.

28. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 21. Went to Fired Up with Andy Martin and Sara at midnight, had a BBC Steel Rail, Sam's Octoberfest, and a shot of Jameson. The next night for the actual celebration we played some landmines. I got fucked up. Funnelled a beer for the first (and last!) time.

29. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Better job. More Music.

30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Jeans and a T-shirt still.

31. What kept you sane?
Sara, the band, my friends being willing to listen to me, and very expensive beer.

32. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I'm pretty sure that Zooey Deschanel will always hold this spot.

33. What political issue stirred you the most?
the health care bill

34. Who did you miss?
I didn't get to see Josh that much. I really missed Sara when we couldn't see eachother for a few weeks.

35. Who was the best new person you met?
Sara.

36. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
Things will pretty much always get better.
