so my dad just sent me this in an E-mail. And it makes me really really really really happy.
"I am officially a The Hold Steady (THS?) fan. Since we went to the show I have been listening to the CD s you gave me almost nonstop in my car. I think the music has more meaning once you see the band live. They sure do like to sing a lot about being high and going to parties... I don't know the names of the songs but do have a couple of favorites. I like "Positive Jam" and that long bluesy number with the heavy bass line that they played toward the end of the show the other night. Great guitar work! "
