An interesting article on Japanese gaming
I just randomply picked this up on New York Times

I would say, that Japanese are very strong in gaming, as they are with cars, but sometimes they tend to go too far when "showing off to whitey" Japanese cars were just fine, untill they started adding in all these computers and having computer problems, wich in all honesty happen with ALL modern cars, but Toyoda is now being singled out mostly do to politics(GM strikes back) and these IDIOTS have now went and settled the case out of court. Great, this will make them look even weaker!

Japanese gaming houses Nintendo and Sony have created powerfull gaming concoles with online ability. This is something that cannot be simply ignored by the gaming community!

So why is Japan losing out?
In all honesty;the level between American and Japanese gaming is just so totally different! America is the birth place of the entire digital revolution! The microchips are being bade there! The programs for the most part are made there! The network was built there...

But the Japanese built so great cars, machinery and anime, so why not computera and compuiter programs as well?
The level between the 2 is simply too big! America clearly LEADS in computer games and computer program related services, like lets say Youtube or WOW, to pick the biggest. The Japanese are far, FAR behind!! I dont think, that there was ever any realistic way to "catch up" Digimons only hope was always to be made and developed in coporation with Bandai and probobly some big Amerivcan gaming firm like Blizzard. The Japanese lack the resources and ability to ever make Digimon truly BIG like WOW for example is today. Truly BIG gaming and BIG MONEY is simply out of there league. It doesent mean there stupid or something like that! It's just that the level of difference is simply TOO BIG! America LEADS in computer chips, computer gaming, programs, services...Japan is somewhere aroudn 10-years away. THAT is the truth!

The only thing they can basicly do is flashy animes. They will never have a change of taking Digimon big on there own. That is my fundamenta believe. The Japanese simply lack the resources and expertees. It doesent make them stupid!
