curse you, global warming!
i know that my friends and family in boston would appreciate a real winter and not this paltry thing that global warming's left us with.
and although the winter in detroit is nothing compared to that in boston, it's been the usual bitter slog. shoveling snow tonight for twenty minutes while wearing gloves despite it being a reasonably mild 19 degrees left my fingers chilled (as they say) to the bone. during thursday's overnight we're supposed to set a record with a low temperature of -16 degrees (in pittsburgh they're only getting a near record -9). but dark >> dawn, right? phil says we're to be done with the suffering around st. patrick's day. i'll take it.
