the joys of eating
because the last few weeks has been busy, im on the verge of forgetting the actual joy of the eating experience. ive been having the usual fast food take-out or barbecue-anything for quick lunches (jollibee chicken barbecue and reyes barbecue are heaven sent!) that ive forgotten how to actually eat. it's been all mechanical. good thing my friends do the choosing most of the time as i really hate picking out the place to eat when im not in the mood. if i don't make any suggestions outright, i don't want to be asked.
thankfully, ive enjoyed a lot of the food ive been ordering.
calamari caesar salad from burgoo. this should be easy to make. if only i had the time.
KICKASS BONELESS BUFFALO WINGS. the best i've tried, hands down.

i miss highland steakhouse.
my half-eaten korean beef stew from kaya in rockwell. ang thats the only trace left from my kimchi. good stuff, i remembered to take a photo halfway through my meal. but really, i don't think anything beats kimchi's piping hot korean beef stew.
pepper lunch beef pepper rice. favorite. although you really get out of the place smelling of food, its so much worth it. i finisedh my plate and then half of ms. judith's. and that brown honey sauce is just love.
my favorite in the barcino lunch buffet: grilled bell peppers in olive oil with whole olives and anchovies. i could eat this all afternoon
aysee's sisig. dinayo pa naman namin. everyone's been raving about it but its nothing great really. my dad's sisig is still the best. lechon kawali-style with mayonnaise and raw egg on top. now that's YUM.
speaking of mayonnaise:

that mochi topping is a staple. sometimes in double and triple servings too! too bad i always finish my lulu belle before i remember to take a photo.
this was all i could get of the maxim's buffet in resort world. this was their lighting. i was stopped after this. no photography allowed, casino regulations. anyway, i didnt get to try out their buffet because i just arrived for the meeting but had to run for my other appointments.
