Wow, I'd almost forgotten about LiveJournal. I've been so busy and all.
Well, in my last post I said I was going to attend uni, which is indeed what I have done. I started in September last year and I'm still going strong. I have been a bit lax with the coursework but I'm hoping to work harder in year 2 and 3.

I had some excellent but unexpected news yesterday as my nurse decided I could be taken off the medication for schizophrenia. The meds had been reduced to once every 3 weeks which is actually below the reccomended interval of once every 2 weeks, and because I was doing well on that they decided to take me off altogether to see how things go. I missed the nurse on monday when she came round to give me the injection as I was working, and as a result she thought I was avoiding her but said to me if you don't want it she would like to see me anyway to check up on me. When she came round again on Friday I was expecting to have it, but she suprised me by saying she had come to the conclusion that I was making an important but well thought out choice to ask to come off of it, and therefore she hadn't even brought the injection with her and I didn't have to wait to see my consultant to ask again. This is great news because now I only have to wait a year to be able to join the TA, and hopefully now I will be able to join the officer training corps as planned to lead up to the full blown joining the TA in a years time. I'm just hoping I don't have a major lapse in health, and that all this is behind me.
It's been an experience that has made me think intently about these kinds of problems in people, and hopefully I will go away with something usefull from it even though my poor bum is like a pin cushion!

I'm booked in to see an art therapist on Tuesday for an assesment, so hopefully I will get on with that and it will help me deal with some issues from childhood. I was recieving counseling as part of my probation order, but I have now stopped because they only give you a certain number of sessions. Yes, I'm still on probation, but that too is soon to end and I can really get on with life again without worrying about missing appointments.

I'm off to Venice for a week on the 8th of August (08/08/08) with a freind, which should be interesting. I've never been to Italy, so I think I will find it unique experiencing it's individual culture and style.

In other news I have been banned from TheSite.org because of my misunderstood comments on rape. I wont go into it, but I think it's a shame, especially when I stop to consider that it was more a case of misunderstanding than anything else. I'll miss posting there, but I believe everything happens for a reason and maybe it was the right time to move on with things. It always happens in three's doesn't it!

I've just had half an Indian, and started watching Jane Eyre which I think is a great film. It's the latest version starring Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens. I love the river of love that runs through it. Good movie if you haven't seen it ;)

Well, I'm going for a smoke and then to watch the rest of the movie.

Hope you lot are well, and hopefully it wont be too long before my next post (I have a client now so it should encourage me to post more often)

Peace. J
