in which i share soemthgin for once on my birthday
when i was 22, i ran way to the backwoods of canada. if i am honest it was because i as facing a dying child and a failing relationship. a lot of good happened becase of it.
on my 27th birhtday i will share a moment:
in BC the roads were dangerous to say the least. the roads were basically dirt roads covered in gravel.
on our first trip to the research station my boss and my roomate said, "i will never drive that road agian."
as that was the only wayt to get food, i became the only motherfuccker crazy enough to drive on those roads...in a gep prism.
on day, i drove the 3 hours to to nanaimoe to the gprceries. my roomates had to deceided to tag along to se teh closests city.
we crested teh peak and saw teh expanse fo the apcfici ocean below us.
as we ewnt down , my roomate ryan woke up.
"slow don" he said
i put the car into lower and lower gears until we reached 1st.
"dude, we are in first adn goin 40. this is not good."
we could now see the curve up ahead that separated us from going thorugh a buch of fisrt growth trees before he jumped off a cliff into the pacific.
"hodl on, i have a plan." i said
ryan came back with "are we gonan make ut?"
"i don;'t thuink os.. let teh girls sleep. they don't need to know this. i am gonna try one thign though."
"this is the end" came on the radio
"confess what you need to. here it goes" i siad as i pulled up on the emergency brake while winding up the engine as high as possible
i dropped the clutch when the pine tree hit or rear cornerpanel and prayed.....
