Virginia is cold.

Yo, eveyone.
It's Monday morning and I'm in Staunton, Va. My family and I landed in D.C. Saturday evening and we drove up through the Shenandoah Valley for my Grandpa's funeral services. Despite my not wanting to come up here because of the type of people I associate with this region in Virginia, I've really been enjoying the weather and the amazing scenery. Everything is pretty simple around these parts, so entertainment comes easily in the form of people who are ridiculously ignorant. I've already been laughed at by my entire family for being vegetarian and pretty much verbally assaulted by one of them. The thing is... I wasn't even mad. I was laughing so hard on the inside at how dumb he sounded. After he finished scolding me, he put his dentures back in. That pretty much says it all. Also, the reception SUCKS out here. The mountains are really screwing everything up. (Damn you Appalacians!!!) Needless to say, this has been frusterating for me and the Misses, and I'm not happy about it. So, if you've been trying to reach me, I probably didnt receive your call. Congrats to Phil on a sweet new tattoo, by the way. In regards to the funerals and stuff; I feel really bad for my dad. He's taking this all pretty hard. Going to the family gravesite and then actually digging the hole... visiting the old house up here... my dad has been tearing up during it all. Its really hard to watch. But, I'm sure all will be well again soon. Anyway, I can't wait to get home. I have a few finals when I get home, but then things should really be good for me. Starting Wednesday I'll be seeing a whole lot of Kathryn. I'm going to pick her up early in the afternoon and she's going to spend the whole rest of the week and weekend with me. She's going up to Houston with me and Prevail, where hopefully Kathryn will get to visit my cousin Zachary, who she is deeply in love with. He's friggin' cute. Saturday, AKNT has a show and it sold be good, too. So everyone come. After this week, Kathryn and I have plenty of time to catch up on becaus eI know this trip has made both of us pretty lonely. Also Sunday we're seeing Apocalypto. Should be pretty freakin exciting. The previews look that way. Oh and last but not least, I bought Kathryn a new puppy for Christmas!!! We're both really excited. Her name is Steve ad she's a teacup Yokie/Poodle. (or Yorkiepoo) She'll only weigh 4lbs when she's full grown and we are so happy to welcome her into out family. Anyway, it's really starting to feel like the holidays. I'm happy about it. See you all when I get home!!!

Love,
Jonathan
