PSA for the day.

I like emotions. I have them all the time. They are the spice of life!

I am happy to hear about peoples feelings from time to time.

If friends want to talk about their feelings, I'll listen, and offer feedback if it is desired or appropriate.

If they do not like my feedback, that is fine. I hope and expect that they will feel free to politely disregard my opinions as it suits them.

That said, the minute one of these folks decides to be rude about my feedback, I cease to have an interest in their feelings.

I know that this seems simple, but there are a handful of people who don't get that their emotions only matter in so far as others actually care about them as people.

So, for the record:
The only reason I give feelings any weight at all is because I care for my friends, and I don't care to invest emotionally in people who are rude to me.

Giving credence to those who are being nasty to you is self destructive and enables bullying.
