Thoughts.

Some people think in lists of words. Some people think in a sort of audio commentary a la The Wonder Years. Some people think only in feelings.

I was having an MSN conversation with someone earlier. We were talking about how people's thoughts are represented in their heads. Everyone is different. My thoughts are a dark void filled with turbulent bubbles, or rather, blobs of fuzzy colour that are all somehow linked to each other with what can only be described as a fuzzy web. It's a wee bit like when a wave hits a camera and you see all the foam and silt rushing about. It's that sort of turbulence anyway. Also there is a running commentary in my voice that sort of brings forth individual 'Bubbles' semi-voluntarily and the fuzziness 'focuses' into an image. But a sort of translucent image that I can still see the other fuzzy bubbles through.

The person I was talking to said her thoughts are more word based. She sees slides, like when you look through newspaper archives. She also has a running commentary.

A guy I know in Art College is an actual synesthete who sees colours when different names are mentioned. As far as I remember I am Yellow. In his head his thoughts are a white surface in which different contours and textures represent different thoughts.

This kind of thing is fascinating to me. We take thoughts and dreams in our stride really. We should all be constantly amazed that we can just think up anything. ANYTHING! Even if it's completely impossible in reality. Fucking mental! Literally!

So, what's on your mind?
