Tea and Synchronicity jon_decles July 26 2008, 02:22:47 UTC
The tea house is open, and now that I am back I hope to start discretely inviting people to tea. A few small repairs need to be made, and I have to get some more sweets, but its happening.

Jon, Kim, and Kids are currently in residence. I am still worn out from Hellas, but I'm working on ridding myself on jet lag and exhaustion and getting something done.

You will be pleased to know that Lawrence is looking a lot better and calmer than he has in years. Holly getting married, having a baby, and moving out, seems to have done wonder for their household.

Hey stranger -- hijacking your LJ to wave hello so you can find my journal, too.

It was great seeing you at Baycon!

I still can't manage these blog things right... I was looking for a that would let me list you as one of my 'friends' but I can't find it this time around. If they all spoke the same language it would be easier.

Anyway, good to hear from you. Hope you enjoy what I have just begun writing.

Love,

Hello. eldriwolf suggested that I come and say hello to you as someone that might be of some assistance. I'm currently trying to write a Hellenic ritual and would like to get more information about the basic form. Where might I get such information?

I'm a part of the neos_alexandria group, so I'm not completely lost (at least I hope not), but it never hurts to solicit other information. Hope you don't mind the drop-in out of the blue.

Ritual, and All That Jazz jon_decles July 26 2008, 02:07:41 UTC
Sorry to take so long in replying, but I've been in Hellas running around. Literally!

If you visit my website, "Rhinoceros Lodge," and follow the link to the part for "Thiasos Olympikos" you will find a bunch of rituals, but more importantly, and article on ritual structure. I hope we elucidate our logic clearly, but... Some years ago another follower of Hellnismos and I compared notes, and it was amazing how we had independently arrived at most of the same conclusions.

Then again, there was a person who postured about having a degree, wrote a book, and then reverted to Episcopalianism. The facade, under closer examination, proved thinner than anyone had noticed.

oh, let see if I can give you a link.

I'm a little out of practice, and my mind is still full of Delphi. Grin.

Much appreciated, thanks! And it's my turn to apologize for getting back to you later.

I take it this is the link to the ritual:

I do have a question; why the counterclockwise movement?

Sorry to spam your board, as I just saw the link in my LJ messages. I'm editing a devotional for the Dioskouroi (and others) and am soliciting contributions. If you or anyone you know might want to make a contribution, it would be terrific. More information here:

http://www.neosalexandria.org/dioskouroi_devotional.htm

I hate to spam but if I don't ask, the word will never get out and I won't get anything.
