Yup, still alive.
It's been a long time hasn't it?
So much has changed in the last year that I scarcely know where to begin. My once simple, predictable life is no more. Events have been set in motion that will ensure an interesting future for me.
A house has been purchased on four acres of land, and in a couple of weeks, the girlfriend and her kids are moving in with me. This is a huge change for me, the man who was once so sure that he would remain a solitary bachelor for the duration of his years. There are sure to be some trying times ahead but there will be good times too. At least there are plenty of places to escape to if things inside the house try my patience too much. Four acres of boreal forest leaves plenty of places to hide :)
With these big changes I will be online even less than usual. The rural location of my new place has made internet choices limited and I have other, more important things to look after for the time being.
My writing, as you can imagine, may be even more sporadic. Or perhaps it won't. I might be able to use it as an excuse to escape from the girls for an hour or two. Only time will tell. I haven't given up on that front yet and hopefully I never will.
