Work Placement
So technically my placement at SoThin ended on Friday with the end of the Employer Engagement New Deal course. But the boss wasn't in most of the week due to the snow issues. So I wrote a handover document about the project, what I learned, what I'd do differently. We chatted on email and I'm going back on Friday for a chat about maybe extending the placement, and I've been invited to the Christmas meal that evening as well! According to the Employer Engagement contacts Sothin have said they really like me, which is nice.
I still don't think there's and actual job there but it's been a valuable experience both in education and in getting something more up to date on my CV.
I'm still waiting to hear a resolution to the RTS deployment job (the McDonalds job). I really want this one and wish they'd man-up and make a bloody decision!
While my job hunting is going well this will still be my third Christmas out of work. Along with the weather I've been pretty down about it all, again.
