Bit later than I planned (cos of Johnny excitement) but here's my view on the LOM finale..
OK, I really liked it and I loved the last scene. John Simm was incredible. More Gene would have been nice though.
As I was watching it, I had my doubts though and I still do.. I'd be interested to know what you think.. I'm assuming that it was all a coma and Sam commited suicide cos he wanted to get back to 1973. So Gene, Anne, Ray, Chris and Phyllis were never real anyway? Does this not disappoint anyone else? Also, I assumed that if Sam died in 2006, he would "cease to be" in 1973 too? Did his conscious go back in time whilst his body was stuck in the present day? Is he dead or a vegetable? You'd think jumping off that building would have finished him. And if it is all Sam's make believe world, how can it still exist if he is dead? And how the hell can you have a spin off show without Sam if Gene is a part of his made up fantasy world??
Wait and see I suppose!! I'm so glad there is gonna be a spin off and we get more Gene. But, I am really gonna miss Sam..
Also, Congrats on the 3 BAFTA nods!
So, that was that then! It was short but oh so sweet. Goodbye Life on Mars. Goodbye Sam Tyler and thank you. It's been a pleasure. See you soon Mr Hunt!
