After my bitter rant about the Govt's evil legislation, I went and had a look at today's paper. And found that Senator Fielding (seriously, you cannot trust anyone from a party that has the word "family" in it) had a last minute change of heart and allowed the anti- student union legislation to pass. Don't worry about replying to that last e-mail I sent you about this very subject. With what you've outlined, the situation that will most likely develop is even worse than I'd imagined. As for Fielding; the Family First Party really concern me. Their policies are unbelievably simplistic and intolerant (in my opinion). I was horrified that they won as many seats as they did in the election. Howard must be rubbing his hands with glee.
I was listening to ABC radio news yesterday and the newsreader listed the five contentious bills that the govt had pushed through parliament before going on hiatus. Along with the above was the IR laws, and the anti-terror legislation, and a nuclear waste dump for the NT and...double take...WTF? A NUCLEAR waste dump for the Northern Territory? I was so shocked that I missed the fifth. When did the little toad sneak that through? I feel sorry for the people in the NT (and students on campuses, and unskilled workers and just about everyone who didn't vote for Liberal and got stuck with them, anyway).

There's a woman in the North of this state who calls herself a clairvoyant and predicted the Melb Cup winner, and the horse's subsequent retirement, so there are many who think she's genuine (jury's still out for me on that one!). The reason I've mentioned this is that she recently predicted that Howard will experience health problems, starting in the new year. No mention of whether she's "seen" if he will resign because of these problems...
Take care

Oh no! Now I've mentioned sedition, I've probably breached the secrecy laws . . . and you can be held incommunicado for 14 days because you might know something about my seditious activities. Oh woe.
