So, had my appointment with Berit today. I have options as to where I can go for my second second Level II. Yes, I meant to write second twice. Here are the three that she called today"
Semper/Select Care--old Bronson hospital, long term acute care. How does this work? Well...some are not well enough to be discharged back home, but some are. It's sort of acute care in some cases, but also long term care in others. I really like the idea of how many diagnoses I will get to see. Literally, the checklist on the eval of the site that has all the diagnoses was checked off. Even some of the more obscure ones (AIDS/HIV, Motor disorders, oral motor, etc.) I told Berit that it would be my top choice, if they want me. I have to, of course, go to an interview, explain what happened in Florida and then they decide from there.
Borgess NeuroRehab--Acute care, working mainly with...you guessed it, Neuro. Brain stuff. Woot.
Alamo Assisted Living--nursing home, basically. Although, that's where I want to work sometime in my career. Who knows if I'll stay in it forever.
Besides that, I found out a few minutes ago that Kathy Griffin is coming to Miller. I love her!! She's amazing.
My thumb is forever hurt right now. Damn Chad and his throwing the ball at me, and hitting my thumb. I have to have a heat pack right now.
I wish I were closer to someone right now. I would totally help him cope with what's going on better than I can right now.
