i need a vacuum cleaner that will suck out the mucus/phlegm that's clinging on to the walls of my nasal passage. its horrible this feeling. like every few minutes your gasping for breath. i was so looking forward to do a bit of kayaking yesterday or today, but my body thinks otherwise. on wed i headed for a 2hr sesssion with dan and we managed to clock a decent distance of around 6.8km. of course with breaks in between. the houses by the river are really nice to admire. it was quite a tough paddle since the water was really flat - no currents esp the further out we went. but i was stoked nonetheless. paddling on a weekday on the placid waters of the brisbane river reminded me of how much i missed rowing.
so i've decided to come up with some sort of regime. probably paddle twice a week and slowly improve my mileage from there. i still have to work on me going straight and using the sweep strokes and what not. but its fun. i wanted to give flatwater racing a try (K1). BUT they train at 6.30am - 7.30am on tues/thurs. six thirty am. when the sun is still asleep. alright but besides that, they did mention hat its not for beginners, meaning they expect you to have some knowledge on paddling. i guess its better not to try yet, though i'd love to one day.
i cooked congee yest and for lunch it was congee gone wrong. i left it for dinner and the results were much better! it looked more like congee probably cuz it had thicken by then and i had to add water. but it was just tasteless. think i should try with some stock the next time.
