You know what? Everyone who reads this should see Crash. It Is an amazing movie. Seriously, the best movie I have seen yet this year. It's sorta educational too. Well, no. Not at all. But it makes you realize how bad racism can get, and how common it happens in everyday life. That reminds me, it's an EXTREMELY emotional movie, so don't see it ( Read more... )

You know its funny because when I saw it like I hadn't heard of it, it must've just came out, and then like a coupple of weeks later I heard like 5 people in one day talk about it and i still keep hearing people talk about it.

Its true, it's quite a good movie, Its an insight into LA life, and no i'm no expert on LA or whatever, but the problems in that movie are real, especially in LA. Aparantly even today there are many racist people that live in LA and when I heard that I could realize how the police force can be that way. LA is a big mess in a way, you have the riots of '92, you have like the biggest bank shootout like in the 90's (i dunno when) you have fucking like the gang scene, with shootings every day, you have like the one of the richest but most cocaine abusing community (Hollywood/Beverly hills), and you have one of the most corrupt police forces. Plus all the racism and all that stuff. Oh and I forgot you have like the most dangerous freeways ever.

The movie shows how they all fit together. It was interesting how like the person Sandra Bullock played really didn't trust the Hispanic guy changing her locks, or how the "innocent cop dude" didn't trust the black dude he was giving a ride. Those things showed well on the racial tentions, which I think are still a problem today, not just in LA but worldwide.

I could write a fucking essay on this but i dont have time, but this is what i think.

thats the most thoughtfull comment i've ever made
