Most mutations in my world happen from magic, but there is some science to it. It's not too common though...but it happened to me.

Hmm. I didn't factor in that magic could potentially cause a mutation as well.

...I'm sorry to hear that. [He can definitely relate. Except his was kind of done with huge ammounts of gamma radiation.] Did you gain abilities from it?

It has to be strong enough though. Not everyone can do it.

I did. Not all of them I like, but I can use magic now too.

Oh, okay. Well, yeah that makes sense.

I guess your world's magic doesn't require talking to spirits, huh?

Depends on what you would count as a spirit.

Uh. An ethereal being I guess?

Then it sort of does. For some spells we have to ask their power. But it's not talking directly.

Hm. So I suppose it's similar to Luceti...?

It's strange. In my world there are myths about magic, but I think it's normally assumed it's taught or learned. I think this is the first time I've heard about contacting spirits for it's usage. i mean unless it's voodoo or a ritual of some kind.

Only by a little bit. We never talk to them personally like you have to do here.

Depending on where you grow up in my world, you can either be taught it, learn it yourself, or it just comes naturally.

Interesting...

Back in my world we don't have magic except for in Asgard or perhaps one of the other realms. So I never realized how complex it can be. Do you know if there's any books on your worlds magic in the library? [Because obv you try to find out stuff like this regularly.]

Magic is pretty normal in my world, and yes, there's quite a lot of them, but they're ones I've already read, and there's no high level magic books that I could find.

That's fine. I wasn't really planning on learning your worlds magic really. At least not to that degree. I just wanted to see how it worked.
