There isn't a mail system, no. We really haven't had a need for one.

...as for the rest of what you speak, there was a man in my world who was interested in such things. But he was a monster, and changed people without their consent.

[Poor Edge. It still hurts that they weren't able to save his parents.]

Ah, I figured. The village isn't all that big, so I guess most people just choose to walk to the person they want to talk to.

[He takes a sip of his coffee before answering the second part. Sorry he's really tired. =(]

That's... terrible. I'm sorry. I wish I could say my world was different but... it's not. I guess people like that exist no matter what world or time you're from.

It seems that way. The Malnosso aren't much different.

I wouldn't say they're any different...

...

...hey, I know this question is probably coming out of nowhere, but does your world... happen to have spirits or magic in it? [Because geez. He has no idea how magic even works now that he thinks about it. Probably something to think about before he gets too deep in the spirits thing.]

Magic, yes. Spirits...it depends on how you define them. If you mean like those local to here, no. I've talked to most those ones, though, if you have questions about them.

No, it's not really that just-- well how does the magic work really? Will the ability to use it just come to me? Like subconsciously?

Well, not subconsciously. It's not a matter of constant communication with the spirits or summoning them, either. Once you contact a spirit and begin learning, they teach you how to draw the magic out of yourself. In a way, it's like learning from any other teacher. They have to agree to teach you, but they don't have to be around every time you use it, once you've learned. It can take a while to master, though, depending on the element.

Ah, so it really is just like the guide explained. [Sometimes a guide or manual might say one thing but hands on experience can differ quite a bit.]

Um, thank you. For your help. I don't believe I mentioned my name earlier. I'm Bruce B-- [Wait, no. Still shouldn't mention his whole name just yet.] Smith. Bruce Smith. [Awesome save!]

[Eh, Rydia won't call him out on it.]

It's nice to meet you, Bruce. I'm Rydia of Mist, from the Welcome Center. I can't say I know absolutely everything about this place, but I'll do my best to explain what I do know.

Ah, the Welcome Center. [He cracks. A small smile at that.] I kind of skipped that place when I first arrived. [On account of being the Hulk and all.]

But thank you Rydia. I appreciate the help.
