I had a house while you were gone

I'm really bad at updating this, and keeping in touch with people. I don't really like talking on the phone, and it's really hard to keep an instant message conversation going. I have 10 minutes until I need to leave for class so I'm gonna write something of an update.

So far, everything is San Diego is excellent. I like my classes this semester, and have fallen in love with photography. I'm waiting to hear back on a grant proposal I submitted last month. If I get the grant I'll be able to do my own research over the summer/fall, get money, housing, and not have to work over the summer. I still work at Jamba Juice (a west coast smoothie place) but I've been thinking about quitting. I'm also trying out eating vegan style. I probably won't get a chance to be home again until either sometime over the summer or Christmas. Sometimes it doesn't feel like I live out here, that I'm on an exchange, or that I'm not still 2 hours away from home. We used to always talk about how school seemed like summer camp. I don't know if I'll be in SD my whole life, I really doubt it but there's so much here that I think I'll be entertained for the next few years. I'm not doing any shows (I haven't auditioned) for about a year to just establish something outside of that world. I think moving out here was probably the greatest thing I've done in my life. Being so isolated from a past life, creating a life from scratch.

Come out to California and hang out with me. We'll go surfing.
