Deep talks and thinkings are in order when one's in college.
During the past weekend (in Berkeley, ha!)there were definitely a lot of those for me.
First, on the drive back to LA, Stevie and I talked about pop culture, the simplicity of life, and cultural identities.
Second, with Sophie, Linty, and Monica, we talked about religion and cross-cultural conflicts, aka isolation/ misunderstandings/ degradation/ etc...and self identity
Thirds, talking to a counselor about life's goals
Finally, with another friend, again, cultural gaps and analysis of different languages/ social phoenetics
Just a random thought: it's so much easier to just hate and like others than having to analyze and understand their perspective---I'm not saying it's right...it's just easier, despite the selfishness in that.
I miss small talks. Why can't we just live in a world where oblivious is a virtue?
