Game of Thrones

So who's watched the Game of Thrones finale? I just saw it yesterday, and it was just as awesome as I expected it to be. The final scene gave me goosebumps, just as it had in the book. I can't even imagine what it might have been like if I hadn't read the book - I'd probably be in fangirl shock for days.

And now I'm frothing at the mouth for the ( Read more... )

Why did you have to remind me about Juliet. It always freaks me out XD

I think Jon and Robb and Dany are in their mid-twenties or something. Ooh, that dude has a sister? Interesting. And I like Natalie Dormer.

Yeah, the whole dragon thing was pretty obvious to me early on. Like, I knew Dany was the Dragon, because Viserys obviously wasn't, and fire didn't hurt her, and also, she was awesome. And she kept noticing the eggs were warming and everything. Maybe a big part of it was wishful thinking though - I really wanted there to be dragons XD (Also, world were people talk about how dragons have gone extinct, and some dragon eggs appear more than just in passing? Chances are they're going to hatch.)

I like that many things are happening now. It's like everyone's gearing up for important things to happen.

I don't know, I like my characters safe and alive. I mean, this is bad for me, usually the people I love the most die off even in predictable books/shows, it's like a curse, so imagine how much worse this is!

(I totally just baked these. Because I couldn't sleep anyway, and I saw the recipe and couldn't stop thinking about it. The smell is distracting XD)

Woman, you are killing me. *Killing me*. They look absolutely delicious. *drools*

You're right - I checjed imdb, and apparently Robb and Jon are around 24. meh. I don't mind. It probably looks better than if they had their actual ages from in the book. Plus, they look fairly young anyway, around 21 or something. (and Margaery Tyrell is supposed to be their age, I'm sure Dormer can pull it off)

Yep, that dude has a sister. This doesn't really count as a spoiler, because we learn it right off in the 2nd book - Renly Baratheon gets engaged to her, so he can ally with her father and use his money to fund his war campaign. (and this is actually the 1st whiff we get of him and Loras, because a character, can't remember who, comments on how Renly kept him in his tent with him at night and not his betrothed. But HBO apparently decided to make it clear for us in season one, lol)

Yeah, I like my characters safe and alive too. But I can recognize that this is a great thing for always keeping your readers on their toes.

As for the dragons, you're probably right. I should've seen it, in retrospect. I'm usually good at spotting things like that. :P
