I also like balloons, but have never crewed or flown in one.
I took the picture at the 2004 Albuquerque, NM hot air balloon festival. (It was the only year I've been to that festival ... so far anyway.) I choose it as an icon because it's one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken and because I think it's very "iconic". (I love how the shadow-line enhances the contour of the balloon.)
You wouldn't happen to know how I could track down who owns that particular balloon would you? Is there ... (he dreams a bit) ... an online "registry" where you can find contact info by locating a picture of the balloon in a collection of balloon photos?
