It's a perfect fall day.
I woke up with Caiden and he helped me make pancakes and bacon for Matthew. We ate a nice breakfast together and then they went outside to put away the summer things into the shed. I can hear Caiden trying to be just like his daddy outside, moving things around on the lawn and saying "look daddy" over and over again. I have been setting up Halloween decorations inside, organizing and taking care of Alexis. I have had no time yet to get ready for the day or get my usual coffee from Tim Hortons. (It's always a treat to run over and get my coffee in the morning when Matthew is home.) But, I don't mind a lazy day in sweats seems just fine.
I love the smell of Autumn and the cool air. I love knitted sweaters and oversized hoodies. I love fleece pyjamas on the kids and bundling them up. I love how cute babies look in hats and how grown up Caiden looks in his jeans and a fall jacket. I love putting on the thicker sheets on my bed and cuddling closer to Matt, jokingly touching his back with my cold hands. I love how much better coffee taste in the cold. I love Halloween decorations and how much fun it is dressing up the kids and showing them off.
It's going to be a great fall, I can just feel it.
