Seems like a really lame, cheap, and surface level interpretation of our Mister J and Harley...I don't think Jared Leto is right for the part at alll and the way they wrote Harley as just a "crazy" blonde sex kitten is like...no. And giving The Joker a grill? What the hell??

It's interesting too that this is probably the first time in any medium that Joker is being as objectified as Harley is... Maybe more? I mean, it's not often he's depicted shirtless.
I also was shocked at how glad I was to see the fantasy aspects of the Batman mythos on film. I love the first two Nolan films and their more realistic take. But it's fun to see Batman also in a world where a CG Killer Croc exists. I've never even cared too much about that character but seeing him made me glad, maybe because it reminds me more of the BTAS Batman I grew up with.
I get what you're saying with Harley as a crazy blonde sex kitten though. I cringed when she licked the cell bar. But other than that I actually liked her. The gymnastics was pandering to the male gaze no doubt but at the same time I kinda liked that they included her gymnast background as part of her character. Her chewing bubblegum and wielding a baseball bat, although not a giant mallet, felt like the fun, dangerous Harley we know.
