Author Notes
So, I'm not really sure why I started this fic, but whatever. xD
I have the ending already written,
now I just have to figure out how
I'm gonna get from Point A to Point B so to speak.
This was a fic I started up on B2ST RISING,
&& I just thought maybe I should post it up on here as well.
It's My first time posting here so.... be nice to me T_T

The story will be based around YoSeob and DooJoon
(yes, DooSeob will be in this story, so if you're not up for that, better look somewhere else >_<)
along with SunHi (fictional character) and HyunAh (4minute).
However, there will be appearances by other Beast members
and maybe some by 4minute, not sure yet.

There will be cussing, alongside kissing and such. But I'll try to keep it reasonable...
I'm not gonna have them cussing in every sentence or anything, but if the situation calls,
I will not hesitate to drop an "f-bomb" or any such.

---Also, to just go ahead and throw this out there because I know it will be questioned later...
No, I do not dislike HyunAh.
I actually love her and 4minute...
And it's not my intention to make anybody here have any negative feelings toward her
because of the character I'm giving to her....
to be honest, I'm only using her because she's convenient...
That sounds really bad >.o...

Now without any more spouting off from me, I'll post the beginning of this story. x3
Comments and constructive criticisms are welcome. ^^
---ALSO: This chapter is pretty long...
I combined a few of my updates from my thread in order to make this one chapter up so that's why it's so long D:
Hope you enjoy~ ^-^

Chapter One

“So…so this is how it’s meant to be then?” the blonde headed boy cried, his eyes glistening with tears as he forced out the words. The tears broke loose and streamed from their now broken dam, down the boy’s cheeks as he felt himself being pulled to his leader’s body tightly in an embrace. Burying his face in the elder’s chest, his whole body seemed to be torn this way and that with the emotions that were coursing through him as he felt the other’s head being laid gently on top of his own, and nodding. Completely overwhelmed, the boy choked out a few more words, words that were muffled a bit by the shirt his face was now pressed into, soaking it with his tears, “B-but… DooJoon…”
- - -

A few months earlier...

“Yah! Noona! Give it baaaaaaaack,” whined Yang YoSeob, a bit of his natural aegyo pouring out through his voice as he tried desperately to convince Sang SunHi to hand his cap back to him. SunHi just laughed as she skipped away from the blonde ball of energy, smiling as she made her way across the stretch of field to where DooJoon stood, watching her as she bounded up to him, obviously proud of her capture.

“Oppa~” SunHi’s voice carried through the open space, just as melodic as it had always been, calling to Yoon DooJoon. Waving the hat around in the air as YoSeob came running after the girl, SunHi grinned mischievously at the older boy. “I got it! I got the precious hat!” she said in a sing-song, teasing tone, as she came to a stop and turned about to face the same way as DooJoon, staring as the blonde followed until he came right up to her. Still smirking, SunHi looked the hat over for a second before reaching up and placing it on her own head, slanted and turned slightly to the side. Looking to YoSeob, SunHi posed a few times, putting on a few “tough” faces as though she were modeling. “Hip hop style yeah?” she asked the blonde, who was now staring at her as if she had just kicked his puppy.

Beside her, DooJoon couldn’t help but smile in amusement at the whole situation. SunHi was being just as playful as always… and of course there was YoSeob. Precious YoSeob who was adorable in nearly anything he did… happy or sad, even mad, the boy was just plain cute and there was no saying otherwise. But when SunHi and YoSeob got together, it really made for adorable overload. The pair was just so spastic and always goofing off and doing the cutest things, even though, to them, it probably wasn’t. Like the current circumstance for instance, DooJoon was positive that the face YoSeob was making at SunHi wasn’t meant just for someone to look at and go “awwwww”.

By now, Doojoon had learned to tune out this pair’s arguments, so as he drifted off into thought, it shocked him to suddenly have the blonde boy’s face so close to his own. “Hyunnnnnnnnnng….” Yoseob whined. “Make her give it back please” he whined some more, flashing the most pitiful pair of puppy dog eyes at his YoonLeadah anyone had ever seen.

A slightly startled DooJoon just cracked a grin at YoSeob as he glanced beside him to the triumphant SunHi, who was now twirling in circles singing something she was making up on the spot about a stolen hat. Glancing back down to YoSeob, DooJoon spoke…”Ah, come now YoSeob, you’re the boy here, shouldn’t you be able to get it away from a girl?” The brunette boy teased his younger band mate, but with another helpless look from YoSeob, DooJoon let out a sigh and turned to SunHi. “SunHi, why must you always pick on Seobie?”

“Because it’s fun” she responded simply.

“I’m sure it is. Can’t you just give it back now?” Gesturing back to a defeated looking YoSeob, DooJoon pointed out, “You’ve obviously won…”

“But Oppaaaa…” It was SunHi’s turn to whine as she finally quit dancing around and turned her gaze to YoSeob. “YoSeo-baby looks so cute when he’s mad. I just wanna pinch his cheeks…” she added, outstretching a hand toward YoSeob’s face. YoSeob glared at the girl and jumped back out of her reach. Looking rather disappointed at not having the chance to pinch the blonde cutie, SunHi returned her attention to DooJoon, only to find him staring down at her with that “just do what I say” look. The smug grin that occupied the girl’s pretty face quickly changed into a pout as she stomped her foot as a last protest. SunHi stared up at DooJoon, but after about a six second staring match, the defiance melted off her face to be replaced with the same sort of defeat YoSeob had been wearing only minutes before. With a little huff, SunHi rolled her eyes and in one swift moment, removed the hat from her head and pushed it against YoSeob’s chest until he grasped it with his own hands. “Whatever, the thing would have given me hat hair anyway,” she said, defending herself for giving in. “I don’t know why it was such a big deal anyway, Seobseob… it’s just a hat.” With that statement, SunHi decided to let the whole thing go, and she suddenly dropped to a sitting position, which quickly turned to sprawling herself out on the grass and staring up at the blue sky that was blotched by a few clouds here and there.

DooJoon watched as the girl made herself comfortable and soon decided it wasn’t a bad idea. As he seated himself beside her, he was thinking about her last words. To be honest, it puzzled DooJoon as well. Looking up to the blonde, who was now clutching the hat to his body as though it were his life saver, DooJoon couldn’t figure out why YoSeob had been so adamant about SunHi not taking his hat. YoSeob wasn’t usually like that… well not seriously anyway. Sure, if he were playing around YoSeob could pretend to be mad over little things, but DooJoon knew he wasn’t playing this time. Carefully studying the boy’s face, DooJoon glanced to the hat. As far as DooJoon knew there wasn’t much special about that hat… except, well no, that wouldn’t be a reason to get so defensive over it…

The blonde held on to the hat so tightly his hands were beginning to turn white as he took a seat next to DooJoon, thinking to himself. There was no way she’d understand… and if he was honest with himself, YoSeob knew even DooJoon probably didn’t understand. The fact was, however, that DooJoon was precisely the reason YoSeob was so protective of that little white hat. It had been a kind of gift that DooJoon had picked up for YoSeob a few weeks back when the group had a day off and dared to go to the mall (which, in retrospect wasn't the greatest of ideas). YoSeob had spotted the hat, and had just said something to DooJoon about going to get it when they were spotted as well. A massive amount of recently acquired fangirls swarmed around the Beast boys, causing YoSeob to forget all about his hat, with all the pictures and autographs… and the squealing, god the squealing… YoSeob had just been happy to leave once all the girls were happy and out of the way that the hat never came back to mind. As the Beast members piled into the SUV that had brought them, YoSeob looked around. Where was DooJoon? Turning around in his seat so he could peer into the back seat where KiKwang and JunHyung sat, YoSeob checked carefully to see if their leader was just hiding or playing a joke. After a few jokes, YoSeob concluded that DooJoon actually hadn’t come to the car with the rest of them. A bit curious, YoSeob climbed from his middle seat in between HyunSeung and DongWoon and poked his head back out the door of the SUV, only to see the person he was searching for looking down at him. “DooJoon, I was worried you’d gotten dragged off by rabid fangirls or something” YoSeob joked. "I was getting ready to come fight for you" he continued, laughing and holding up a fist... yet looking anything but threatening. Smiling, DooJoon placed his hand on YoSeob’s bright blonde head and gave him a playful push back into the vehicle and then climbed in after, taking his seat in the back with KiKwang and JunHyung. The group goofed off and messed around the whole way home, but DooJoon never said why he’d drifted off from the group like that. When they finally arrived at their dorm, the boys all filed out and began to make their way inside.

About to enter the building behind JunHyung, YoSeob felt a little tug on his arm and came to a halt. Turning around, YoSeob found himself looking up to a sweetly smiling DooJoon, who promptly raised a hand to ruffle the younger boy’s hair before plopping something down there on his head. “For you” was all DooJoon said before moving past the boy into the building. A little taken back, YoSeob reached for the object now occupying the space on top of his head. Pulling it down and holding the thing in front of him, YoSeob discovered that it was none other than the hat he’d mentioned wanting. So that’s what DooJoon had gone after when he disappeared. For some reason, the whole thing sent a warm feeling through YoSeob’s body as he stared into the doorway as DooJoon retreated through it.

With a newly found foolish looking grin now plastered on his face at the memory, YoSeob brought himself back to the present and turned his attention back to what SunHi had said. “You wouldn’t understand, Noona.”

“Yah! What did I tell you? Why do you have to call me Noona?” the girl snapped back suddenly.

“Well you are older…”

“By a whole three days” she defended, cutting YoSeob off. “There’s no reason…”

At this, YoSeob just shot the girl a victorious smirk as he, in turn cut her sentence off and replied, “Sure there is.” Looking her over a minute, he added in a mimicking tone, “Because it’s fun.”

And to be honest, that really was the only reason YoSeob called her that. Like a child, he did it simply because he knew it irritated SunHi. Though, he wasn’t entirely sure why, but once he’d found out it did… well, there was no turning back.

Letting the two’s bickering slide right on by him, DooJoon just grinned as he stretched himself out on the grass beneath him. He stretched his arms up to cross them beneath his head and stared at the sky as YoSeob and SunHi continued to argue back and forth. The little fights didn’t even faze him anymore. At this point in time, DooJoon was just happy that they finally had some time to spend together. The Beast boys had been so busy since their recent debut, and SunHi had been busy preparing for HyunAh’s new single about to release. DooJoon had seen SunHi working hard since he’d met her, but just the past little bit, he’d seen the girl pushing to an entire new level. SunHi had been selected to be one of HyunAh’s backup dancers, in the MV they were fixing to film along with every performance HyunAh was to give promoting her new song. While being a backup dancer wouldn’t seem like that big of a deal to most people, DooJoon knew good and well how critical such a move would be for SunHi. As a trainee, this was one of SunHi’s chances to prove whether or not she was even closer to being ready to debut, and DooJoon knew how important it was to absolutely shine. Knowing this, he knew why the girl beside him had been completely withdrawn from everybody and everything other than the dance studio. But when their manager had told the boys of Beast that they could have the day to themselves, DooJoon and YoSeob practically dragged the girl from her practicing. It wasn’t often for them to have time like this anymore, and they sure weren’t going to let the opportunity of hanging with one of their good friends pass by…

Actually, let’s rewind that. It was YoSeob’s doing that SunHi was with them today. In all honestly, when DooJoon had heard about their little time off, he knew whereabouts the other guys would head off to, and he’d been delighted at the thought of some time with just YoSeob. However, things didn’t go exactly as DooJoon had planned. As they were heading out, YoSeob spotted SunHi, on her way to go practice of course, and insisted that she’d spend the day with them. DooJoon was a bit disheartened at this, but he played along cheerfully… SunHi was one of YoSeob’s closest friends after all. The girl had been in school with YoSeob and KiKwang, and, well, DooJoon actually grew pretty fond of her as well once they were all placed in Cube together. Seeing as DooJoon was close to YoSeob, and YoSeob was close to SunHi, it couldn’t really be helped that DooJoon would end up spending a good deal of time with SunHi as well. And DooJoon didn’t mind SunHi, he loved her like she really was his little sister… but today, well, he’d just been wishing for a little of the quality time he felt he’d been deprived of lately, so when YoSeob called out for SunHi to join them, DooJoon’s fluffy plans for the day had gone down the drain. He did well though, pretending not to care at all, and helped YoSeob convince SunHi to come along; if it was for YoSeob’s smiling face, DooJoon would sacrifice anything. And even though SunHi and YoSeob had been bickering for a good portion of the day, DooJoon knew YoSeob was having a good time and that’s all DooJoon could care about.

Lying there, DooJoon let the sound his company’s voices wash around him as he closed his eyes, simply enjoying the nice day they had; being able to just lay out like this was a wonderful feeling. As he lay there silent, the noise from the two seemed to fade away as he started to drift off… only to be brought back suddenly by a soft thud onto his stomach. Cracking open one eye, DooJoon lifted his head slightly. He glanced down to find what it was that had stirred him, just to find YoSeob laying in a way to make a “t” position with their bodies, his blonde head now resting on DooJoon’s abdomen. A soft smile crept onto his face as he laid his own head back on his one arm, letting the other arm travel down until his hand found YoSeob and began to run through his blonde locks gingerly.

Meanwhile, SunHi quieted down seeing as YoSeob had as well. She watched as her school friend made himself quite comfortable on the older male. Ugh… why must they always be like that… The girl squirmed around a bit, trying not to pay attention to the boys at her side. But she just couldn’t help it. The whole thing always seemed to make SunHi uncomfortable for some reason. Sure, she knew that they were told to put on scenes of this and that for popularity and what they call “fanservice”… but really… why did they feel that they had to be that way even when no one was around? To be sure their act was just that- just an act. Right? Right. But as she glanced down and watched as the bigger, brunette play idly with the smaller blonde’s hair, SunHi couldn’t help but wonder…

“DooJoon ah?” YoSeob’s softly questioning voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts. And she was actually glad for the silence to be broken and her thoughts pulled away from the direction they were going.

“Yeah, Seob?” came the gentle reply.

“Why are you so quiet today?” the questioning tone rang again, a hint of concern held within it. “Are you not having a good time?”

“Huh?” That was an odd question to ask… DooJoon lifted his head once again, just enough to look down at YoSeob. Seeing the boy gazing at him, waiting for an answer, DooJoon shook his head and gave a warm smile before letting his head down to rest once more. “Nah, Seob… I’m actually having a wonderful time” he assured the blondie, letting out a rather satisfied sigh that seemed to come in perfect timing. But, what DooJoon said wasn’t a lie. Now… was perfect. He was very much enjoying laying there, gazing up at the fluffy clouded blue sky, running his hand through YoSeob’s hair; it was dreamlike. YoSeob didn’t say anything more, but DooJoon felt him nod his head a little, as if satisfied with DooJoon’s answer.

A little disappointed at the silence that resumed, SunHi sat herself up. She quickly ran her hands through her long black tresses to undo any tangles she’d put there by laying out on the ground, and once she felt that she’d probably look alright, she glanced over to the pair. She watched them for a moment, eyebrow raised, thinking… before finally her phone went off.

“Ah” she jumped. Reaching into her pocket, SunHi pulled the little pink thing out and flipped it open without even looking at the caller ID. She knew who that ringtone belonged to. “Yuhbosehyo?”

At the ring, the guys stirred from their little world, both sitting up and watching SunHi. They could hear a male’s voice coming through the phone plain and clear.

“SunHi, where are you? You’re wanted at the studio for a quick run through… they’ve pushed the filming of the MV up, so we’ve got to get things together. Hurry up, will you?” The voice came through, and DooJoon and YoSeob recognized it right away.

“Ah, JunHyung Oppa. I was just out… I’ll be right there” SunHi answered, flipping the phone shut as she heard the click from the other end. Feeling the slight warmth of a blush taking up residence on her face, SunHi did her best not to look at the two guys now staring at her as she spoke. “Apparently…”

“You have to go” finished YoSeob, sounding a bit saddened by the statement.

“It’s okay,” DooJoon chimed in.

“Better hurry on, or JunHyung will scold you…” YoSeob added, flinching a bit at the thought. “Do your best!”

“Hwaiting!” the pair yelled out in unison. To which SunHi stood and bowed slightly. “Thanks. I will. See you guys later” she finished, smiling at them and then turning around and running off.

They watched as the girl retreated into the distance. About the time she was completely out of sight, YoSeob turned his attention back to DooJoon. Catching eye contact with the him, YoSeob gave him a pitiful look. “DooJoon ah?” Looking very serious, he added, "I have something I need to say..."

Why does he have to look at me like that? DooJoon thought to himself. Of course, the boy looked like an angel no matter what expression he was wearing, but whenever YoSeob looked upset, well for some reason that DooJoon didn’t completely understand, it tore him up inside. Why does it affect me like this? He questioned himself for a moment longer, until the gaze from the boy next to him stole his attention again. Shaking himself from the thought, DooJoon replied. “Yeah, Seob? What’s wrong?” he asked caringly, worrying a bit about what could be wrong with YoSeob now.

“I’m dying” the boy answered solemnly before flopping himself down into DooJoon’s lap. DooJoon’s jaw dropped as he stared down at YoSeob sprawled out across him, his own face now unknowingly writ with a sort of horror at the words that came from the blonde.

“Wha-? “ was all the leader could manage to get out as he blinked down.

Luckily, YoSeob didn’t hold onto his teasing for long as he flashed his eyes open, looking up into the concerned eyes of DooJoon. “Of hunger. Duh… what did you think?” Shooting the older boy an adorably playful smile, DooJoon returned it with a glare, pushing the blonde from his lap.

“Aish! Seob don’t do things like that” DooJoon scolded, before his cold glare turned just as solemn as YoSeob’s tone had been when he’d said he was dying. “It upsets me…” DooJoon confessed. Although, with the kind of person YoSeob was, DooJoon should have seen it coming. Even still, the thought that flashed through his head when YoSeob had said those words, and the ache that filled his heart for even just that split second was unbearable.

Pouting at the fact that he was pushed so rudely from his spot, YoSeob did kind of feel bad that he had actually made DooJoon worry. Trying to lighten the now downtrodden mood that he himself had brought upon the two, YoSeob just placed the cutest grin he could on his face as he leapt suddenly at DooJoon, tackling him back to the ground in a hug. “I’m sorry hyung. Really I am. Don’t frown” he said, reaching his hands up and placing them to either side of DooJoon’s mouth and lifting the corners of his lips upwards as to force a smile on him. “Be happy” he added, laughing.

Looking up into that bright, smiling face, DooJoon couldn’t stay upset. He let out a laugh and a genuine grin replaced the fake smile that YoSeob had pushed onto his face. “Okay, okay” he said, still laughing a bit as the blonde stuck his tongue out at him playfully. Without thinking, and in one swift movement, DooJoon grabbed YoSeob and flipped him over onto his back, pinning him down, and still grinning, DooJoon poked at the younger male’s sides, tickling him for a moment. As YoSeob laughed that adorable laugh of his and squirmed around, DooJoon noticed his own body’s position, hovering so perfectly over YoSeob’s smaller one. DooJoon ceased in his tickling activities and just looked at YoSeob, his eyes scanning over the features of the boy’s beautiful face before finally catching his eyes. The pair just lay there, completely still for a few moments. YoSeob had a look in his eyes that DooJoon wasn’t entirely sure how to read… and a surge of an emotion swept through his body and mind. DooJoon, snap out of it! he scolded himself silently.

YoSeob laid completely still now, staring up into the eyes that seemed to be trying to see straight into his own soul. He felt as though he could hardly breathe in those seconds that passed, but he tried to convey something, anything, through the look he returned to DooJoon. Honestly, YoSeob didn’t know what was going through DooJoon’s thoughts, but he could clearly see confusion written behind those eyes and oh how YoSeob wished that DooJoon would be thinking the same as himself. YoSeob’s eyes closed in a slow, dreamy like blink, but as they reopened, YoSeob found himself now watching the older man pushing himself up, and YoSeob couldn’t help but feel his heart drop a bit.

DooJoon pushed himself all the way up, righting himself in a sitting position. He sat there for a minute, still in silence, trying to collect himself and his thoughts. Shaking his head slightly, as if he could shake every thought he’d just had right out of his mind, DooJoon cleared his throat and stood up. He brushed himself off a bit and then looked down at YoSeob who was just now sitting himself up. Sighing lightly, DooJoon decided to try to just put the whole thing away for now, and held out a hand to YoSeob, helping him stand as well. “C’mon Seob” he said, like nothing at all had just happened, “let’s go get you something to eat…” YoSeob just agreed with a simple nod, and the pair began to make their way across the grassy field they’d been playing in, DooJoon pulling up his hood, YoSeob replacing his hat, and both of the guys placing on sunglasses, trying their best to not be noticed as they now made their way down the sidewalk heading for the nearest café, both of their minds swarming with the thoughts of what had just, and what could have just, happened.
