Camping and a thing called Love
So I had the best weekend ever. As most know Tuesday and Wednesday as middle of the week I know as my weekend. Nick and I went camping with my friends Matt and John. We drove up north and from mpls it took about five hours. oo I drove the whole way there, with is a really hard thing for me to as I like to fall asleep at the wheel. Nick slept for about three hours of it. We had to park are car in a town near by because the camp grounds ( National Park) has this really stupid but understanding rule that you can only have one car for two tents or two cars for one tent. Yes I know it does not make any since but there is limited parking.
Nick and I parked at the visitor information area in this small town. I am forgetting the name right now. We had about half hour to forty five min to waste until Matt and John came to pick us up and are things and bring us to the camping site. We ended up walking in the trails that were off the parking lot. It was a nice cool day and the air was so crisp. Matt and John picked us up and off to the site.
We loaded up all are stuff onto the cart and rolled it in to the woods. The trail had a lot of hills on it so we had to work a bit. We unloaded are things and decided that we work enough that we should relax a bit. We walked down to the Lake and looked for rocks and enjoyed the nice weather. This took about a hour or so. Get back to the site and there were Crows flying away from are table. "OOO know we left the food out" I thought to myself. Rushed over to the picnic table just to find out that the crows had eaten all of the hot dog buns and were going to start in to the hamburger buns. OO well we did not need them anyways. Matt and I started to get the site together so that we could start to cook dinner. Nick and John went off to get Fire wood. The only thing we did not have to make it complete was water to do the dishes with. So Matt and John went off to get the water together. When they got back we made Beans and Hamburgers for dinner. We ate and then started a fire and chatted about random shit until the moon was out. Nick and I decided that it would be really pretty to go down to the lake and sit on the rocks and look at the moon, so that is what we ended up doing. Sat there for about a hour or so and then headed back to the camp sit as we both were tired and wanted to get up for the sunrise the next morning.
We fell asleep almost right way and got up around 5am. The alarm went off and it was already light out. Off to bed we went again. Back up around 8 and ready for food and a shower. Nick and I got up and started to walk to the ranger station to see were the showers were. Get there and they tell us they are at there other camp site and that we had to dive there. So we walked back to the camp site to get Matt and John up so we could shower.
We showered and got ready for the day and got more water for brakfast and dinner dishes. Went back to the site and ate breakfast.
John got a bright idea and wanted to walk the shower line all the way to the river that flowed in to the lake. So down to the lake we went, only to find that we could not walk the shore like there. Back to the main tail so we could get to the river. The river water was much warmer then the lake water. Nick and I walked around on the rocks and tried not to slip and get wet. Doing so was a lot of fun.
After having fun on the rock John decided that we should hike to canon falls to see them. On the walk there Nick and John wanted to walk the whole way on the rocks that were in the river. Matt and I walk the trail to make sure that they did not get hurt or anything. There was two different falls. Smaller one flowed in to a holing area that was really deep and over flowed tot he larger fall. Nick and I climbed the rocks and found this holding area. We undressed down to are underwear and jumped in. Matt and John followed us and we were all soon to be jumping and diving off cliffs in to this really deep holding area. We swam for about two hours and then started to hike back. We all had wet underwear and had to take them off so are shorts would not get wet. John and a stick and pt them all on the stick and walked all the way to the camp site with the undies blowing in the wind. Back to the campsite to nap and eat dinner.
As well all were tired form cliff diving, swimming and walking we did very little that night. Nick and I set are alarm to 4am to get up in time for the sunrise. Alarm went off and hit the snooze button until 4:30am. With a few pushes I get Nick up and awake. Off to the beach to watch the new day coming. Sun was up and Nick and I were cold tired and hungry went back to the tent to sleep more. Up again around 9 to eat and get ready for the ride back home. We ate, packed and showered and off to are car. The drive home was more fun then the drive there only because Nick was awake and talking to me the whole way. We stopped off at my Sister in Croquet to pick up a picture that she was faming for me. On the way out of town we stopped to say hi to my niece at her work and get batteries and a camera Back on the road again for a long but short 2.5 hours more. We get back into town around 5:30pm and unload some of my things and rest for a bit. Some friends of mine were getting together for beers and food at 7 so we did not have long to freshen up and look like we have not been sleeping in the woods for two days. Get to the restrant and we were the first. We ate, drunk and laughed about random things. OOOK BOYS AND GIRLS THIS IS THE BEST PART OF THE WEEKEND. So I had been driving for 5 hours or so, burnt and tired we went home early to watch a movie and cuddle in bed. Get home and Nick called his cousin and he told him that he had to come home to move more stuff into his Ante and Uncles new house. I was so sad because I wanted to cuddle and watch a movie. But this needs to be done so I sucked it up and was ok with it. We sat and cuddled for a little longer and chatted about random things. Nick was saying You Like Me and I was like well Yeah. ( With this look on my face like well no I don't like you I Love you!!!) He saw this and remembered that I had been giving him this look all weekend long and asked me what that look was all about. As I tried to change the subject and hid my face I could not run any more. We talked about how hard it is to say it and that it is to soon but that we both felt the same way. I tried to push it out and nothing would come. I would open my mouth and no words at all. We kissed and cuddled and well felt like we became one and out it came I LOVE YOU BABE!!!! He replayed I LOVE YOU TO!!!! We kissed more and talked about more random things about how we felt about each other and I cried because I was happy and it felt so good to tell the man that I love that I love you. He had to still leave to help his family move some thing but I replayed "It's better this way" He promised me that he would call and say good night and that he would never let a night go with out saying good night to me.
As soon as he left I got on the computer to check emails and wright this blog about are weekend just to wait for the call saying good night. I Just got that call about 15 min ago and finishing my blog so I think I am off to bed. If you are not in love yet it will come just put your self out there and it will come and slap you in the face. If you are falling out of love with someone take a long camping trip and you both pull the cart and take down and put of a tent. Go swimming in the falls and take a long walk thought the woods and talk about how wonderful life is and were you want to travel next to. You get to know someone in different way and love them even more.
